DoveRunner Lab (lab.doverunner.com) is operated by DoveRunner. This page explains what data the Lab collects, why, and the choices you have. The Lab has no accounts or sign-up.
What we collect
- Request logs: our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) records IP address, browser, requested URL and time for every request, used for security, abuse protection and operations.
- Playground: license token requests send the content ID and DRM type to our token endpoint, with a fixed anonymous user ID. Stream and license URLs you enter in "Test your own stream" are requested directly by your browser and are not sent to us.
- Your theme and cookie choice are stored in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to us.
Analytics and feedback tools
- Google Analytics (Google): visits, pages, device and approximate location, using cookies. Loaded only after you accept.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): heatmaps and session replay of clicks, scrolls and page interactions, using cookies; text you type is masked. Loaded only after you accept.
- Userback: an optional feedback widget, loaded only after you accept. It records a session replay of your page interactions (clicks, scrolls, navigation) so we can see the context of feedback. If you send feedback, we receive your message, the page URL, browser details, a screenshot if you attach one, and your email if you give it.
Your choices
- Decline in the cookie banner and Google Analytics, Clarity and Userback never load. Use the button below to change your choice at any time.
- You can also block cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Sharing, transfers and retention
- We do not sell personal data. The providers above process data on our behalf and may store it outside your country, including the United States.
- Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Clarity and Userback data are kept only as long as needed to improve the Lab, within each provider's retention settings.
